Archbishop John Chabuga has inaugurated a new branch of the African Divine Church in Kisumu, marking the church's continued growth in the Nyanza region. The inauguration service, held on a sunny Sunday morning, was attended by hundreds of members, bishops, pastors, and well-wishers from across the region.
In his sermon, the Archbishop preached from Matthew 16:18, reminding the congregation that the church is built by Christ Himself and that the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. He charged the new congregation to be a faithful witness to Christ in Kisumu and to demonstrate the love of God in both word and deed.
The new branch — ADC Kisumu East — has been meeting as a prayer fellowship for the past two years under the leadership of Pastor Daniel Otieno. With the inauguration, it now becomes a fully established branch with its own pastor, elders, and ministry teams. The church meets for worship every Sunday at 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Bishop David Keter, who oversees the region, thanked God for the new branch and called on members to support it through prayer, giving, and active participation. 'Every new branch is a testimony to God's faithfulness and to the dedication of His people,' he said. 'Let us rally around our brothers and sisters in Kisumu East as they begin this new chapter.'
