Our Affiliations

The World Council of Churches (WCC) is the broadest and most inclusive among the many organized expressions of the modern ecumenical movement, a movement whose goal is Christian unity. The WCC brings together churches from more than 110 countries and territories across the world, representing over 500 million Christians. ADC values its participation in the WCC as an expression of our commitment to the unity of Christ's body and to common witness with sisters and brothers across the world. Through the WCC, ADC participates in global conversations on mission, faith and order, justice and peace, and inter-religious dialogue.

The Organization of African Instituted Churches (OAIC) is an international fellowship of churches founded in Africa by Africans. Founded in 1978, OAIC brings together African Instituted Churches across the continent to share in mission, advocacy, and mutual support. ADC is a proud member of OAIC. As an African Instituted Church ourselves, we value the fellowship and shared identity we find in this body. Through OAIC, ADC participates in continental initiatives in theological education, women's and youth ministry, health, and economic empowerment.

The National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) is a fellowship of Christian denominations and Christian organizations registered in Kenya. Founded in 1913, NCCK provides a common forum for member churches and organizations to work together in the service of God and humanity. ADC is an active member of NCCK, participating in national conversations on governance, justice, peace, and the well-being of the Kenyan people. Through NCCK, ADC joins other churches in advocacy, disaster response, civic education, and the promotion of ethical leadership in public life.

The Bible Society of Kenya is a non-denominational Christian organization whose mission is to make the Word of God available and affordable to all people in languages they understand best. The Society translates, publishes, and distributes the Bible and runs Scripture engagement programs across the country. ADC partners with the Bible Society of Kenya to make Scriptures available in our congregations, encourage Bible reading among members, and support the translation of Scripture into local languages. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, and we rejoice in every effort to make it accessible to all.

Scripture Union Kenya is an interdenominational Christian ministry focused on evangelism and discipleship among children, young people, and families. Through schools ministry, camps, Bible reading guides, and training programs, SU Kenya has nurtured the faith of generations of Kenyan Christians. ADC partners with Scripture Union Kenya in ministry to children and youth. Many of our branches host SU groups in local schools, and our young people participate in SU camps and training events. We value this partnership as a vital channel for the formation of the next generation of Christian leaders.

Kenya United Independent Churches (KUIC) is a fellowship of indigenous and independent churches in Kenya. KUIC provides a platform for member churches to work together on matters of common concern — including legal recognition, training, public witness, and mutual support. ADC participates actively in KUIC as part of our commitment to the indigenous church movement in Kenya. Through KUIC, we stand in solidarity with other African Instituted Churches and contribute to the strengthening of the broader body of Christ in the nation.
