Our Ministries
Discover a place to belong, grow, and serve. We offer ministries for every age and stage of life — all rooted in Christ and focused on His mission.
Education Ministry
Establishing schools, colleges, and theological training centers across Kenya. The Education Ministry of ADC believes that quality education — rooted in biblical values — is one of the most powerful ways to transform lives and communities for Christ. Our institutions range from early childhood centres to secondary schools, vocational training institutes, and theological colleges. We seek to provide affordable, high-quality education that forms both mind and character, and that prepares students for faithful service in their families, churches, and professions. Through this ministry, ADC also equips teachers and lecturers, develops curriculum resources, and partners with government and other bodies to expand access to education for the underserved.
Evangelism Ministry
Spreading the gospel through crusades, outreach, and church planting. The Evangelism Ministry of ADC is the church's organised expression of its passion to see people come to faith in Jesus Christ. Through mass evangelism campaigns, door-to-door witnessing, open-air preaching, media outreach, and the planting of new congregations, we seek to reach every person in Kenya and beyond with the good news of salvation. We train members to share their faith, equip local churches for evangelism, and identify new areas where churches need to be planted. We believe that every Christian is called to be a witness, and that the church's primary task is to proclaim Christ crucified, risen, and coming again. We invite every member to be part of this glorious mission.
Health Ministry
Operating clinics, health outreach programs, and community health education. The Health Ministry of ADC bears witness to Christ the Healer by serving the physical and mental health needs of communities across Kenya. Our work includes church-based clinics, mobile outreach to remote areas, maternal and child health programs, malaria and HIV/AIDS initiatives, and training of community health volunteers. We integrate medical care with prayer and the proclamation of the gospel, caring for the whole person. Through partnerships with health authorities, NGOs, and other churches, we seek to extend the reach and quality of our health ministry and to advocate for health policies that serve the most vulnerable.
Peace and Reconciliation
Promoting peace and reconciliation in communities affected by conflict. The Peace and Reconciliation Ministry of ADC bears witness to the Prince of Peace by working to heal broken relationships and build just, peaceful communities. We mediate conflicts within and between communities, train peace-builders, support trauma healing, and advocate for justice and the rule of law. We draw on the rich resources of Scripture — especially the ministry of reconciliation entrusted to the church — and on African traditions of peace-making and communal restoration. In times of national tension, ADC has been a voice for peace, calling members and leaders to be ambassadors of Christ's reconciliation in their families, workplaces, and communities.
Theology Ministry
Training pastors and church leaders in biblical theology and ministry. The Theology Ministry of ADC is responsible for the theological formation of those called to pastoral and teaching ministry within the church. Through our theological colleges, certificate and diploma programs, and in-service training, we equip pastors with the biblical, theological, pastoral, and practical skills needed for faithful ministry. We emphasise both academic rigour and spiritual formation, seeking leaders who know God, know His Word, and love His people. The ministry also produces curriculum resources, commentaries, and Bible study materials for use across the church, and convenes theological consultations on issues facing the church in Africa today.
Children's Ministry
Nurturing children in Christian faith through Sunday school and programs. The Children's Ministry of ADC welcomes children in Jesus' name and helps them come to know, love, and follow Him. Through Sunday schools, vacation Bible schools, children's clubs, and special events, we teach children the stories of Scripture, model the love of Christ, and help them take their first steps of faith. We train teachers, develop curriculum, and equip parents to nurture faith at home. We believe that children are a gift from the Lord and that the church's investment in them is one of the most strategic and joyful aspects of our mission. Our prayer is that every child who passes through our ministries will grow to love the Lord with all their heart.
Family Life and Benevolent
Strengthening families and providing benevolent support to the needy. The Family Life and Benevolent Ministry of ADC seeks to honour God by building strong families and caring for those in material need. Through marriage preparation, parenting seminars, counselling, and family retreats, we help families grow in love, faithfulness, and Christ-centredness. We also run benevolent ministries that provide food, clothing, school fees, and emergency relief to vulnerable members and neighbours. We believe that strong families are the foundation of strong churches and strong communities, and that compassionate care for the needy is a non-negotiable mark of the church of Jesus Christ.
Women's Ministry
Empowering women in faith, leadership, and community engagement. The Women's Ministry of ADC gathers the women of the church for worship, teaching, fellowship, and service, and equips them for ministry in their families, churches, and communities. Through conferences, prayer fellowships, Bible study groups, economic empowerment projects, and leadership training, we support women in their God-given callings. We celebrate the vital contributions of women to the life and mission of ADC — as prayer warriors, deaconesses, pastors, teachers, and faithful servants. We also advocate for the dignity, safety, and flourishing of women and girls, opposing all forms of violence and discrimination and promoting just and loving relationships in homes and communities.
Youth Ministry
Discipling young people through fellowship, mentorship, and service. The Youth Ministry of ADC exists to reach young people with the gospel, form them as disciples of Christ, and equip them for service and leadership in the church and the world. Our programs include weekly youth fellowships, annual youth conferences, regional rallies, mentorship groups, vocational guidance, and service projects. We help young people navigate the challenges of adolescence and young adulthood with biblical wisdom, healthy relationships, and a strong sense of purpose. We are committed to nurturing the next generation of pastors, deacons, professionals, parents, and citizens — young men and women whose lives are shaped by the gospel and whose gifts are deployed for God's glory and the common good.
Culture and Creative Activities
Celebrating African culture and creativity in worship and service. The Culture and Creative Activities Ministry of ADC gives expression to the rich cultural and artistic gifts of our members in ways that glorify God and build up the church. We support choirs, drama groups, dance troupes, writers, and visual artists across the church. We also encourage the use of African languages, instruments, and cultural forms in worship — always in ways consistent with Scripture — and host festivals and exhibitions that celebrate our heritage in Christ. We believe that culture, redeemed and offered to God, is a powerful vehicle for worship, witness, and the formation of Christian community. Our creativity is a reflection of the Creator in whose image we are made.
Entrepreneurship and Cooperative
Promoting economic empowerment through cooperatives and training. The Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Ministry of ADC helps members develop sustainable livelihoods and practice biblical stewardship of the resources God has entrusted to them. We facilitate savings and credit cooperatives, business training, vocational skills development, market access initiatives, and mentorship for entrepreneurs. We believe that economic flourishing is part of God's shalom and that the church has a role to play in helping members thrive economically. Through this ministry, we seek to honour God, reduce poverty, strengthen families, and equip members to be generous givers and faithful stewards of all that the Lord has provided.
Resource Mobilization
Mobilizing financial and material resources for church mission. The Resource Mobilization Ministry of ADC works to ensure that the church's ministries, institutions, and outreach are adequately and sustainably resourced. We encourage faithful tithes and offerings, develop major gift and capital campaigns, pursue grants and partnerships, and explore social enterprises that generate income for ministry. We also teach biblical stewardship across the church, helping members grow in joyful generosity. Transparency, accountability, and prayer undergird all our work. We seek to honour both God and the trust of our members and partners by stewarding every shilling with care and integrity.
Special Needs Ministry
Ministering to persons with disabilities and their families. The Special Needs Ministry of ADC affirms that every person is made in the image of God and is worthy of love, dignity, and full participation in the life of the church. We provide support groups for families, special worship and teaching programs, accessibility improvements in church buildings, and advocacy for the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities. We also partner with schools, clinics, and other organisations serving people with special needs. Our vision is a church in which every person — regardless of ability — is welcomed, valued, and equipped to serve, and in which the gifts of persons with disabilities are recognised and received with thanksgiving.
