Our Beliefs
Anchored in Scripture, centred on Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit — explore the foundational truths that shape the African Divine Church.
Mandate
The mandate of the African Divine Church flows directly from the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ: 'Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you' (Matthew 28:19-20). This command shapes everything we do. We pursue this mandate through evangelism — boldly and lovingly proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed, calling people to repentance, faith, and discipleship. We pursue it through education — establishing schools, colleges, and theological training centres that equip people for life, service, and leadership. We pursue it through health ministry — operating clinics, conducting health outreach, and teaching communities how to live well. We pursue our mandate through compassionate service — caring for the poor, the orphaned, the widow, the stranger, and all who are in need, following the example of Christ who 'went about doing good' (Acts 10:38). And we pursue it through peace and reconciliation — working for justice, healing broken relationships, and bearing witness to the peace that only Christ can give. This is our mandate, our joy, and our responsibility. We embrace it not in our own strength but in the power of the Holy Spirit, and not for our own glory but for the glory of God and the blessing of the people we are called to serve.
Vision
Our Vision: To be a Christ-centred, Spirit-empowered church that transforms communities across Kenya and beyond through the proclamation of the gospel, the making of disciples, and compassionate service in the name of Jesus.
Mission
Our Mission: To fulfill the Great Commission by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, planting and strengthening local congregations, training faithful leaders, establishing schools and health ministries, and serving the spiritual, physical, and social needs of the communities to which God has called us. Our vision and mission are grounded in Scripture, shaped by our history, and directed toward the future God is calling us into. They remind us that the church does not exist for itself but for God and for the world He so loves. Every program, every department, and every congregation is ultimately accountable to this vision and mission. We invite every member and partner of ADC to embrace this vision and mission personally. Through prayer, service, giving, and witness, each of us has a part to play in seeing communities transformed by the power of the gospel and the love of Christ.

Statement of Faith
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — the Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer of all that is. We believe that Holy Scripture, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, authoritative, and sufficient Word of God, the supreme rule for faith and life.
We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, truly God and truly man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins, was buried, rose bodily on the third day, ascended into heaven, and will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life, who convicts of sin, regenerates, indwells, sanctifies, and empowers believers for witness and service. We believe in the church, the body of Christ, called to worship God, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, administer the sacraments of baptism and holy communion, and live as a sign and foretaste of God's kingdom.
We believe in the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. We affirm the historic ecumenical creeds — the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed — as faithful summaries of the Christian faith, and we embrace our evangelical and Spirit-filled heritage as gifts of God for the building up of His church.
Membership Information
Membership in the African Divine Church is open to all who profess faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord and who desire to walk in obedience to Him within the fellowship of this church. Whether you are new to the Christian faith, transferring from another congregation, or returning after a time away, you are warmly welcome.
The membership journey typically begins with regular attendance and participation in worship. Those interested in membership are encouraged to attend a membership class, where they learn about the history, beliefs, values, and practices of ADC and have opportunity to ask questions. Following the class, candidates meet with a pastor or elder for a brief conversation about their faith in Christ.
Baptism is the entry rite into the visible church. Those who have not been baptised are baptised upon profession of faith. Those already baptised in another Christian church in the name of the Trinity are not rebaptised but are received into membership by transfer or confirmation. New members are formally welcomed during a Sunday worship service and entered into the membership roll of the local congregation.
Members are expected to worship faithfully, grow in discipleship, serve according to their gifts, contribute to the life and mission of the church, and live in a manner worthy of the gospel. In return, the church commits to provide pastoral care, biblical teaching, opportunities for service and growth, and the fellowship of a caring spiritual family. To begin your membership journey, please contact your nearest ADC branch or the headquarters at Gamalenga.
