The Youth Ministry of the African Divine Church has hosted its National Youth Conference for 2025, gathering more than three thousand young people from across Kenya for a week of worship, teaching, fellowship, and service. The conference was held at the ADC Conference Center in Kisumu and was themed 'Rooted and Built Up' from Colossians 2:7.
Throughout the week, delegates heard expository Bible teaching, participated in small group discussions, attended workshops on topics ranging from relationships and mental health to entrepreneurship and digital culture, and engaged in community service projects in nearby neighbourhoods. Evenings were given to vibrant worship, testimonies, and prayer.
Pastor Mary Akinyi, who coordinates the Youth Ministry, expressed gratitude to God for the conference and for the many volunteers who made it possible. 'We have seen young people commit their lives afresh to Christ, discern calls to ministry, and form friendships that will sustain them in their walk with God,' she said.
The conference concluded with a commissioning service in which Archbishop John Chabuga prayed for the young people and sent them out to be faithful witnesses in their schools, campuses, workplaces, and communities. Plans are already underway for next year's conference.
