Council Committee Approves New Educational Initiatives
The Council Committee of the African Divine Church has approved groundbreaking educational initiatives aimed at expanding access to quality education across East Africa. These initiatives reflect our commitment to education and empowerment as a core value, recognizing the transformative power of education in uplifting communities and breaking cycles of poverty.
The approved initiatives include the establishment of two new polytechnics in Mautuma (Western Province) and Igina (Rift Valley), expansion of our existing educational facilities, and enhancement of scholarship programs through the BCCF (Bishop Chabuga Community Foundation). These developments will provide skills training and educational opportunities to thousands of youth across the region.
Investing in Future Generations
Archbishop John Saiya Lilege, who presided over the Council Committee meeting, emphasized that education remains a key pillar in ADCs mission to empower believers and transform communities. He noted that the church currently operates over 400 ECDE schools, 30 junior schools, 1 senior school, and 1 theological college, serving tens of thousands of students across East Africa.
The new initiatives will also focus on improving educational infrastructure, teacher training, and curriculum development that integrates both academic excellence and Christian values. The Council Committee allocated substantial resources to ensure successful implementation of these projects over the next five years, demonstrating ADCs long-term commitment to education as a tool for community transformation.
