Peace and Reconciliation

Promoting peace and reconciliation in communities affected by conflict. The Peace and Reconciliation Ministry of ADC bears witness to the Prince of Peace by working to heal broken relationships and build just, peaceful communities.

We mediate conflicts within and between communities, train peace-builders, support trauma healing, and advocate for justice and the rule of law. We draw on the rich resources of Scripture — especially the ministry of reconciliation entrusted to the church — and on African traditions of peace-making and communal restoration.

In times of national tension, ADC has been a voice for peace, calling members and leaders to be ambassadors of Christ's reconciliation in their families, workplaces, and communities.
