Culture and Social Services Department

Celebrating African culture and creativity in worship and service. The Culture and Social Services Department of ADC gives expression to the rich cultural and artistic gifts of our members in ways that glorify God and build up the church. We support choirs, drama groups, dance troupes, writers, and visual artists across the church. We also encourage the use of African languages, instruments, and cultural forms in worship — always in ways consistent with Scripture — and host festivals and exhibitions that celebrate our heritage in Christ. We believe that culture, redeemed and offered to God, is a powerful vehicle for worship, witness, and the formation of Christian community. Our creativity is a reflection of the Creator in whose image we are made.
